EN| And here we go again: Autumn is not jut around the corner, it is here! That is why it is time for a new “Designliebe (Designlove)” post. I did not post anything out of this series in quiet a long time. Autumn means colorful falling leaves, storm, golden sunlight, rain and thunderstorms… weather is super capricious and everyday, we have the same old question: What am I supposed to wear? Warm and cozy winter boots, my comfy knit or my rain jacket?
Autumn also means spending time at home, reading good books and getting cozy in a huge blanket while drinking hot tee and watching my most favorite shows. Autumn is that time of the year, where you buy cozy blankets, pillows and candles… or get it out of the attic. Autumn is the time, where you make your apartment or your house cozy, so you never want to leave it again. So what is important, when you buy home accessories? What is trendy right now?
In my opinion autumn is perfect to shop huge knitted blankets. A trend, which you see everywhere is velvet. It does not matter if its in fashion or in interior: Velvet is king (or queen;) ). You can shop velvet accessories in every color and every shape. Items like candle holders, lights or cozy huge armchairs get a great use during the next month, so it is worth it. There, you should have an eye on colors. The have to match with eachother. Don´t combine too many eyecatchers with each other. Don´t let them dominate your room. I am a friend of having one or two it-pieces in one room and then combining it with basic pieces. Always have an eye on the color palette in your room. Don´t use too many colors!
